It's been a while since I last did an update on Jon. Since the first run of the Vegas Residency, he has been busy on the farm, and he even took a trip to Croatia!
Here are some highlights from his recent Instagram posts:
Harley also shared some photos and videos while they were on vacation:

Jonathan Knight Shares Behind-the-Scenes Secrets of Nostalgic NKOTB Residency
And how he's making the most of his time in Vegas
By Leena Tailor Published: Jul 03, 2025.
After a jaw-dropping opening to New Kids on the Block’s Las Vegas residency, Jonathan Knight is still pinching himself at the magical milestone, which came just days after the group marked their 40th anniversary. Country Living exclusively caught up with the boy bander and HGTV star as he enjoyed a day off between shows.
“When I was 20, I never would have thought that at 56 we'd still be performing, let alone in Las Vegas,” Jon told us. “It's crazy. I remember meeting Donny and Marie Osmond as a kid, and they were in Vegas at the time, which was so cool.”
“Fast forward and today I've been walking around seeing ads for Dolly Parton, Kelly Clarkson, and all these people with residencies here in Vegas—and then there’s New Kids! It still feels nuts.”
Jon, his brother Jordan Knight, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, and Donnie Wahlberg kicked of their New Kids On the Block: The Right Stuff Las Vegas Residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM with a slew of mesmerizing hits and tricks, from landing on stage in a replica of the Boston subway they rode as youth (followed up with some train-inspired choreography), to holding a quickie wedding and soaring high above the crowd in floating boxes.
Fans went wild, but Jon confesses he was initially dubious about the impressive production stunt. “The first time we got to Vegas and stepped into the theater, they had the boxes tucked way up high near the ceiling and I kept looking at them going, ‘Please tell me we're not going that high,’” he recalls. “Then they put us in the boxes and I was hanging on for dear life.”
“But on opening night, the adrenaline kicked in and I was looking down going, ‘This is cool.’ By the second show, I wasn’t even thinking about the fact I was suspended 40-feet high in the air.”
Flying wasn’t the only production spectacle that made Jon nervous. Almost 37 years after he chauffeured his bandmates around in a 1971 Buick LeSabre Custom convertible in the “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” music video, he drove the quintet onto stage for the encore.
“The car isn’t on a track—it’s an actual vintage car we bought, had refurbished and converted to electric, so I’m actually driving it” Jon dished. “In rehearsals, they were like, ‘Okay, now you’ve got to drive around the corner and onto the stage,’ and I was looking around thinking, ‘This stage is so skinny. I don't want to end up in the front row with the car!’”
“We started practicing and everybody said I looked like I was taking my road test because my hands were in the 10 and 2 position and I was holding the steering wheel so tightly,” Jon adds. “It took a while to get comfortable. But it's so cool to bring back some of that nostalgia. When we filmed the video, I was the only one with a driver's license and they had us do circles over this bridge and it was like, ‘Do it again. Do it again.’ I don't think there were seat belts or anything!”
While Jon shares that there were hiccups in the show right up until the dress rehearsal on the eve of Friday’s opening, the night went off “flawlessly” and the quintet proudly celebrated with colleagues and loved ones afterwards.
“It’s always after opening night that everyone can take a breath,” he said. “Not just the New Kids, but our creative team, managers, agents, accountants. Everybody was there and we got together and thanked everybody for all their hard work.”
Jon had his husband Harley and bestie Angela in the audience supporting him, as well as Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota Peggy Flanagan, who’s such a huge Blockhead that when the band took their Mixtape Tour to Minnesota on 11 June 2019, she had it officially declared New Kids on the Block Day.
With dates for the residency running until February 2026, Jon plans to spend his downtime taking a trip to Salt Lake City, where he and Jordan had a blast filming Rock the Block. He’s also looking forward to exploring Nevada.
“I want to rent a four-wheel drive and explore the surrounding areas,” he said. “There are so many cool national parks close by. When you're on tour and come through a city, you don't have time to get see the surrounding areas, so I’m going to take the time to explore.”
“Today, I’m just out shopping because I’m bored,” he added. “And yesterday, I went to dinner with Donnie and Jenny [McCarthy], which was great. They're the best. I'm so happy they found each other!”
