NKOTB Dance with Jabbawockeez, Stunt with Blue Man Group in Hilarious Video for Las Vegas Residency

In case you missed it, NKOTB posted this cute video clip, and People Magazine posted a new article about it!

NKOTB Dance with Jabbawockeez, Stunt with Blue Man Group in Hilarious Video for Las Vegas Residency

The band drops in on some of the city's most popular acts to promote their 2025 shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM

Do the New Kids on the Block actually have the right stuff?

That’s the question the band members — Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre and brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight — are on a quest to answer in a new video promoting their 2025 Las Vegas residency.

In the funny clip posted on Sept. 26, the New Kids meet with some of the city's most popular acts to find out whether they can hold their own amongst the entertainment titans that came before them.

The scene opens with the group members sitting together in the theater of Dolby Live at Park MGM, the home of their "The Right Stuff" residency.

"We can't just drop in," Joey says to the group about their upcoming Las Vegas concerts, which will run in three blocks from June 20-July 5 and Nov. 1-15, 2025 and newly-added Feb. 14-28, 2026. "I mean, there's so many legends here and so many great acts. We might have to, you know, check in with them."

Says Jordan: "We have old friends in town. They will definitely know if we've got the right stuff." And their journey around the city's attractions begins.

The first stop: executive chef Isaiah Torres' kitchen at The NoMad Library Restaurant. "We know that the chefs are the real rockstars in Las Vegas, so we came to you to find out if you think we got the right stuff for Las Vegas," Donnie says to Torres. In a snap, the members are dressed in white chef coats and frantically cooking up orders of tomahawk steaks and scallops over a fiery-hot stove. "Yes, chef!" yells a panicked Joey, as though reenacting a scene from The Bear, as Torres calls out the next dish to fire.

The group quickly zips over to Cirque du Soleil Mad Apple, an immersive, energetic show that mixes high-flying acrobatics, stunts, music and dance. It turns out to be a little too immersive for the New Kids, who reluctantly get in on the act by assisting in basketball stunts and literally jumping through hoops — Donnie gingerly walks though while Jonathan leaps and somersaults to the other side.

The tables turn when NKOTB visits the Jabbawockeez, and teaches the masked dance crew how to get on the floor and do the New Kids' dance. Both of the groups join together to perform the classic choreography to the boyband's 1988 hit single "The Right Stuff," the inspiration for the name of their residency.

The final leg of the tour takes the New Kids to the home of the Blue Man Group. The boyband experiment on the cobalt blue-covered performers' signature PVC pipe instrument and extreme canvas spray painting to reveal a large NKOTB logo.

The video was filmed while NKOTB was in Las Vegas to announce their 2025 residency and perform for the first time at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Sept. 21. They were joined on stage by surprise guest Flavor Flav, who first appeared on stage with the band during the 1991 American Music Awards.

"We don't ever take shortcuts when we put a show together. And I think that's one of the reasons we've made it this long," Donnie told PEOPLE following NKOTB's performance at the iHeart Music festival. "Being in one place provides us an opportunity to do things we can't do on the road. And we hope to take our New Kids experience to a higher level and have so much fun. And that's what we do: we have fun. So to us, the amount of fun we have on stage and with our fans, it makes Vegas the perfect location for us."

"We set goals for ourselves, we set challenges for ourselves," said Donnie. "When you have kids and families and real life responsibilities beyond your boyband, that's where you really have to prove yourself. In the music business, we set goals, we try to achieve them and we like to surprise ourselves and our fans. And I think the energy of our fans is going to blow Las Vegas away."

Tickets for the New Kids on the Block's "The Right Stuff" residency go on sale on Friday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PT at ticketmaster.com.

Jon and Jordan to compete on the next season of “Rock the Block”

According to an article from deadline.com, both Jon and Jordan will be competing on the next season of “Rock the Block”!

EXCLUSIVE: HGTV has renewed its top-rated home reno competition series Rock the Block for a sixth season, which will come with a twist. The seven-episode Season 6 is set for premiere in Spring 2025 with returning host Ty Pennington (Battle on the Beach), and will feature for the first time two veteran teams and two rookie teams facing off for a win.

Star designer Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) and former Rock the Block champion and high-end designer Michel Smith Boyd (Luxe for Less), along with home restoration expert Jonathan Knight(Farmhouse Fixer) and his New Kids on the Block bandmate and brother Jordan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer Camp Revamp) will rep the veteran teams. Competing on the series for the first time, the rookie teams will feature married home reno pros Chelsea and Cole DeBoer (Down Home Fab) and house-flipping experts Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama (Renovation Aloha).

Pennington will charge the HGTV powerhouse duos to face-off in an epic renovation battle—this time with bigger houses and bigger challenges just outside Salt Lake City, Utah—for bragging rights and a street named in their honor, per HGTV.

Each team will have just six weeks and a budget of $250,000 to renovate identical modern properties that boast mountain views, more interior bonus spaces and the largest backyards in series’ history, transforming them with their signature vision and personalized design style.

“Ratings juggernaut Rock the Block delivered HGTV’s top series three years in a row and appeals to millions of fans in our key demos,” said Betsy Ayala, Interim Head of Content, HGTV. “We incorporate a surprise element each season, and this season we’re taking the format to the next level by mixing returning block vets and some first-time contenders to amp up the competition and create some unexpected twists.”

The homes are built by Utah-based Hamlet Homes.

Rock the Block is produced by Big Table Media
