Donnie and Jenny at the Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers Concert

Donnie and Jenny had the opportunity to attend the Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers concert at the Huntington Bank Pavilion in Chicago on Friday night. It sounds like it was a surprise gift from Jenny for their anniversary (which is on August 31). Jenny went live on Instagram for a little bit, and you can watch that here.

What a surreal evening! I’m so humbled. Thank you @nilerodgers & @duranduran! Nile, quite simply one of the greatest musical geniuses the world has ever known (and I only that to one musical genius). To say that I know him (even a little bit) after decades of loving the music he has performed/produced and been such an integral part of creating — is absolutely mind blowing to me. Truly a magical and lovely human being. 🤯 #CQForever ❤️ @duranduran — where do I even begin? First off, they still got it! Second, (and they may not know this) they are one of the bands that @nkotb were inspired by and looked to with awe when we were kids (and still do now). An amazing example for us, for decades. Thank you for being so gracious. ❤️ Seeing the love and energy of all of the fans last night in Chicago @huntingtonbankpavilion gave me such inspiration. Seeing these legendary artists, still making their magic, gave me such motivation! Listening to the song “Good Times” by Chic, live under the setting summertime sun, will not leave my memory any time soon! Thank you for the surprise @jennymccarthy and @jaredaripaul!
