Update on the New Kids on the Block 2020 cruise

If you booked a cabin for the 2020 Cruise, you will be getting a refund, but will have first priority book the next scheduled cruise. Here is the latest from the official site:

Dear Blockheads, 

We are thinking of you all during this time. Our hope is that you’re at home- safe and healthy — with your families. During a time like this, we are reminded how grateful we are for each of you, the fun times we’ve shared, and are eagerly looking forward to the memories we’ll create again with each other in the future. 

If you are currently booked on the 2020 Cruise you will be receiving an email from Rose Tours shortly providing some specific information about the status of the cruise. We have been working very closely with our team and Rose Tours to ensure that first and foremost- your personal needs are considered- and acted on-during this time. There is currently no way to set plans for when the cruise can be rescheduled with 100% clarity and the guarantee of your health and safety. 

So, while this is continuing to be worked on, we are very happy to let you know that Rose Tours has committed that each of you will receive a full refund on the cruise. Although we do not currently have a rescheduled date, we feel that it is important for your money to not be held during this critical time. We have seen and heard lots of news about other travel events being postponed and feel strongly that it is responsible and necessary for us to go against industry norms and return your hard-earned money to you. We know that when the situation allows, we will all be together again in the sunshine soon! 

We do know how disappointing this is and how hard you worked to get booked on the cruise and select your cabins. 

With that in mind, a system is being created so that when and if a cruise event is announced in the future, anyone who had a room booked will have first dibs at a cabin of similar status. We want for your hard work to get a spot on the boat to be respected and will ensure that procedures are put in place for that to happen. Stay tuned for more details. 

The email from Rose Tours will lay out the specific details of receiving your refund if this applies to you and will include a customer service phone number in case you need any additional information about the process. Most importantly, please make sure to update your mailing address in your cruise account upon receiving the email. 

We are disappointed about the outcome of Cruise 2020 but know good things are in store for the future. 

The most important thing right now is for you all to stay safe and we will look forward to finding ways to connect with you in the meantime.

NKOTB Cruise 2020 postponed

NKOTB released a statement about the New Kids on the Block cruise that was supposed to take place this April: 

Dear Cruisers,
Alongside all of you, we have been following information closely from public health officials and municipalities and working with Carnival to figure out a solution to protect the health and safety of the fans, NKOTB and all of our staff. We held out hope for this year’s cruise as long as we could. 

We recognize the fact that many of you would not be able to attend due to the current state of international travel and other public health advisories. We take seriously the many safety concerns that most of you have. We also understand that organizing this type of event requires extensive planning and logistics, not just for us, but for all of you who plan on attending (from around the country and the world) as well. With that being said, we have determined that it is in the best interest of everyone for us to reschedule the New Kids on the Block Cruise due to the uncertainty and danger connected with the COVID19 virus. We are committed to operating under the mantra of NO BLOCKHEAD LEFT BEHIND! If we cannot set sail with all of those who planned on attending now, then we will make every effort to set sail with all of those who planned to attend as soon as possible. 

Due to the uncertain nature of the current health crisis, we do not have the reschedule date of sailing just yet and want to do our best to provide accurate information out of respect for each of you. We can, however, ensure you all that NKOTB, Faculty and Rose Tours, are all committed to giving our NKOTB passengers the absolute best NKOTB Cruise ever, with — NO BLOCKHEAD LEFT BEHIND.

NKOTB is coming back to Fenway Park for their only non-cruise concert of 2020! The show is Saturday, September 19,and it's part of the Plainridge Park Casino Fenway Concert Series. Bell Biv Devoe and more surprise guests will also be joining them.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 31!
