He joins us on the couch to discuss his new Christmas movie ‘Jingle Bell Wedding’ (out on Roku), but of course we had to get into the NKOTB lore: the group’s near-organic formation, what it was like joining the group at 12, the emotional toll, his voice breaking, going solo (with some serious independent chutzpah), reuniting and woah, those New Kids cruises really sounded like a doozy (just google Joey McIntyre, naked cowboy).
We also talk about his friendship with Debbie Gibson and Robbie Williams, his latest solo album ‘Freedom,’ his 2017 Curb Your Enthusiasm-esque show ‘Return of the Mac,’ the live Christmas extravaganza he’s compering in LA called ‘Tinselcolor,’ and so much more.
