New Kids On The Block star Jordan Knight can add music mogul to his resume after launching his own record label.

The pop star will debut his new solo single Let's Go Higher on the imprint Jk Music. The label will also back Knight's upcoming album Unfinished.

The label is a joint venture between Knight and Mass Appeal Entertainment boss/producer Marcus Siskind, who has previously worked with the likes of Backstreet Boys, Lauryn Hill and Queen Latifah.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 1, 2011) - Jordan Knight launches his own label imprint, JK Music, with the release of "Let's Go Higher," the first single from the singer-songwriter's forthcoming album, "Unfinished," available beginning today on the iTunes Music Store. "Let's Go Higher," an infectious, uptempo, pop smash written by hit songwriter Colby O'Donis (Lady Gaga, Akon), was co-produced and arranged by Knight and fellow Boston based music producer Marcus Siskind. Knight also recruited and collaborated with many highly in demand writers and producers in the music industry today. Jonas Jeberg (Pussycat Dolls, Jordin Sparks), JR Hutson (Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild), Nasri Atweh (NKOTB, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber/Jaden Smith), DJ Clinton Sparks and Christian Davis among others lended their talents to Knight's project.

Through a joint venture deal between JK Music and Marcus Siskind of Mass Appeal Entertainment, "Unfinished," Knight's first solo project in nearly five years, will be distributed through eOne Music. The 12-song album will be available on May 3rd along with special version releases featuring bonus songs and single remixes.

Most recognized as the lead singer of New Kids on The Block, Knight was first introduced to fans through the group's self-titled, debut album release in 1986. As a songwriter, he wrote his first Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit song "I'll Be Your Everything" at the age of 17 for singer Tommy Page, which remained on the charts for 14 weeks and became RIAA certified gold. After selling over 80 million albums worldwide through the release of 6 group albums, Knight broke from NKOTB to embark on a successful solo career, which produced 4 Top 40 singles. His critically acclaimed debut self-titled album release in 1999 became RIAA certified gold and produced the Billboard Top 10 single, "Give It To You" which sold over a million copies and was nominated for Best Dance Video at the MTV Video Music Awards. Much to the delight of their loyal fans, Knight and NKOTB reunited in 2007, returning to the charts once again with "The Block," the group's first studio album in 14 years.
